Henry Hayes of Stargate; Continuum, is all set to return to his role, , as the news sources suggest. William DeVane, the actor did quite a disappearing act after he appeared in the three-episode arc late in Season Seven, as he assumed presidency and originally came to know of the Stargate program’s existence.
The actor has not appeared on screen in four years since Lost City, though he was briefly mentioned in the Season Eight episode ‘Moebius, Part 1′ and the Season Ten Episode ‘Bad Guys’.
For those who don’t know, in Continuum, Sam, Daniel and Cameron return to the Earth, only to find that the timeline has been altered and no Stargate program ever existed. What we don’t know yet is whether Hayes is still the president or not.
This strapping actor has also made an appearance on various other platforms. To begin with, this 70-year old actor played the Secretary of Defense James Heller on 24and also the Secretary of State Lewis Berryhill on The West Wing. Other shows to his credit include What About Brian, Early Edition and Knots Landing.
Latest news tells us that Continuum is now in post-production, with a DVD-release slated for second half of 2008.
