For eight years the show carried the same cast and crew and did the work from their base at the Stargate Command Center in the Rockies with Gen. Jack O’Neill (Richard Dean Anderson), Dr. Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks), alien warrior Teal’c (Christopher Judge), and Lt Col. Samantha Carter (Amanda Tapping).

They have battled creatures, dealt with evil twins, met vicious aliens, and met nice people that still carried on ancient ways, but season nine brought changes to the team. New people joined the show while others left. O’Neill left Gen. Hank Landry in charge of Stargate and is now in charge of Homeworld Security.

The tenth year added yet more new faces and the show now centers around defending the galaxy from the holy war of the Ori. Conflicts between Earth and the Jaffa continue to get worse as a Jaffa leader comes to power and has confrontations with Teal’c.

For the season ten finale, the grand finale, the Asgard knows that their extinction is nearing and hand their knowledge and technology information to the members of SG1. Before the change in knowledge takes place however the Ori attack and prevent the humans from receiving the legacy of the Asgard’s.
